Fed up with Mia's clinginess and egged on by Lily, husband Jake fakes a three-month skiing disappearance. After uncovering the lie, Mia legally registers him dead and holds a memorial service, where she presents hard evidence and forces a divorce. Jake keeps pestering her and fakes another vanishing act; Mia and Ryan expose it on-site. Mia builds a new, happy life with supportive Ryan.
