Desperate to pay for her sick mother’s treatment, restaurant waitress Anna is betrayed by her biological father, Richard, and sent into a deadly trap controlled by an East Side crime boss. Using her combat skills and intelligence, she survives, defeats Victor, and escapes with crucial evidence. With the help of Leo, an undercover operative and Thomas’s son, Anna rises through Los Angeles’ criminal underworld, taking control of casinos and territory. But she soon discovers that her entire rise has been part of Thomas’s larger power game. Together, Anna and Leo expose the money-laundering operation and bring down Thomas and Richard.
